What is The Best Hamburger on Koh Samui Thailand – Q & A

I’m coming to Samui next Thursday and I remember reading on your site some time back about a good place in Lamai that make the best burger in Samui 🙂 can you tell me the name and the location? I want to add it to my to do list under visiting The Resort / Happy Inn 🙂

I wrote that article a couple of years ago.  I can’t say it is still the best burger on Samui, but it’s still pretty damn solid.

The place was called Bikini Bar right on the beach in Lamai.  You get there by finding the McDonalds in Lamai, and then take the road which leads directly to the beach.  (During part of the year they have a volleyball net on the beach as well – which can make some great eye candy, but I haven’t seen them put it up this year.)

Also, try their Jamaican Jerk Ribs which is very good.  In fact, lately I’ve been ordering the ribs more than the burger. A little more messy, but there are only a few good rib places on Samui…this being one of them. (Price is around 6usd for a burger and fries.)

Another honorable mention goes out to the Australian restaurant “Bondi Assie Bar and Grill”. They have prime locations in the city centers of Chaweng and Lamai.  Note, here you are looking at more than double the price at around 15usd for a burger and fries.)

And Another honorable mention of a solid hamburger place on Samui is “Mamas Burger.”  This is also in Lamai on the main “ring road” in the “Buddies Shopping Center”.  Here you won’t have the nice beach views while you are eating because it is near the main road, but it’s a good place to have a nice burger.  (I’ll usually stop by here once every couple of weeks.)  I recommend the Bacon Cheeseburger.
