Sukhumvit Road is the center of Bangkok nightlife. Here are some of the most popular and best clubs, bars, and other nighttime venues in the city:
One of the most popular areas for nightlife in Bangkok is Soi Cowboy. This vibrant and colorful area is best known for its go-go bars. The bars here are typically more relaxed than other go-go areas of the city, but you will still see plenty of young girls and older male tourists around. Choose from over twenty bars on this soi across from Terminal 21.
Also visit Nana Plaza on Soi 4.
Check out this multi-story venue on Soi 11 for a good time. It’s busy and there is plenty of music in its three separate party areas. You can get some of the benefits of a variety of club styles, since Levels has features typical of a lounge, a noisy club, and even a terraced bar. There are special DJ events on occasion, so keep a look out for them. Levels Club and Lounge is open from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
You’ll find mini buses parked along the side of Soi 11 serving cheap drinks and playing a variety of music. Stop here for a drink or three before you start your night. It’s amazing how something as simple as getting a drink on the side of the road can lay the framework for an epic night in Bangkok.
Q Bar is a very well-liked bar on Sukhumvit Soi 11 that offers a great party from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. It attracts some of the most stylish of Bangkok’s socialites and thus has a more upscale vibe than some other bars and clubs in the area. Feel like part of the in-crowd at the Q bar from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
WTF Café is a great place to hang out with friends or have a good dinner in a relaxed but artistic atmosphere. The care doubles as a gallery showcasing unique art pieces that change regularly. It is conveniently located on Sukhumvit Soi 51 and mimics the European café style. WTF is open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. for food and drinks while the gallery portion is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

These are mostly Thai clubs, but if you want something different, check it out. Demo & Funky Villa is a warehouse-style venue that represents all that it is alternative and hip on the Bangkok nightlife scene. There are actually two clubs here. The Funky Villa is less underground in style than the Demo. You will find more popular music and more light there while at Demo you will experience a darker atmosphere and less light-hearted tunes. Demo and Funky Villa open at 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. and are located on Thong Lor Soi 10.
Octave is a Sukhumvit Road rooftop bar that offers great views of the city, especially at sunset. The view is truly spectacular and this is one of the highest rooftop bars in Bangkok. It is located at the Marriott Hotel and is opens at 5 p.m. Enjoy a drink, a meal, and a great backdrop.
