Are There Soapy Massages on Koh Samui Thailand?

We get emailed this question a couple times every month, so to save our future readers from doing the same, here is the answer to:

Are there any Soapy Massage Shops on Samui Thailand?

Short Answer:
No 🙁

Long Answer:
Thailand rarely, if ever issues new licenses for soapy massage establishment.  And for whatever reason, a Soapy license has never been issued on Samui.  Which means, there are no soapy massage parlors.

However, don’t let this detour you from Samui.  Koh Samui has A LOT to offer, including some of the best oil massages on the planet.  High quality “special” oil massages can be found nearly everywhere on Samui for a very reasonable price.  Usually around 300 baht for an hour massage and 300 baht for the happy ending. (600baht = 20usd)

It may not be as good as a soapy, but it’s still pretty damn great.
