Rat-U-Thit Road in Phuket is filled with many different places to go for nightlife and fun. There are beer bars, dance and disco clubs, movie theaters, karaoke, and more.
This intersection is home to numerous nightlife joints. Some of the fun bars and clubs located here include Tai Pan, Margarita Bar, and the gay bars of the Royal Paradise complex. Crowded and exciting, these bars are a great place to go when you’re looking for a busy place with a lot of people.
Location: Located in the Jungceylon Shopping Centre, this club is divided into two separate areas – the beach club and nightclub. Patong’s Famous Nightclub & Rooftop Beach Club is a bit more stylish (and a little more expensive) than the other nearby venues. It is popular in part for its large swimming pool, which has a glass bottom that serves as the ceiling of the nightclub beneath it. It is open from 1 p.m. until late at night every day.
Nicky’s Handlebar is popular with bikers and non-bikers alike. This bar has a friendly atmosphere that includes fun bar games and a pool table. You can get some good food to go along with your beer and even sign-up to take a motorcycle tour.
So Sansabai is quieter than the Bangla Sois but its bars have recently been updated. Soi Sabsabai has pubs, as well, and its venues include Yorkshire Inn and Sports Club, Power Bar, Fiddy’s, Gonzo Bar, and more. Play some pool and learn from travelers and expats about life in Patong.
This bar looks out on Bangla Road and is very popular, thanks to its live music. The focus is on hard rock and heavy metal, as the name implies. Rock City is easy to find thanks to its location by the junction of Bangla and Rat-U-Thit roads, right near Jungceylon Mall. It opens at 8 p.m. and closes around 2 a.m.
The OTOP Market is not only a market but also has numerous bars where people increasingly like to hang out at night. During the day and into the evening, shop at OTOP Market for crafts, clothing, art, and more. The bars here are a bit calmer but still fun, especially if you want to watch a sports match.
The Baya Beach Nightclub is located opposite the can’t-miss Soi Bangla. It contrasts with that busy complex in that it is rather small and more laid-back. It is well set-up and a nice place to go for a drink and maybe make a new friend.
