Still quiet and somewhat secluded, Mai Khao is the place to go if you want to relax and truly enjoy the beach. Because it isn’t too crowded yet, the restaurants in Mai Khao Beach aren’t overwhelming in number but you can find some excellent venues here, whether you’re looking for basic Thai fare or international cuisine.
The Coffee Club offers great food throughout the day and night at affordable prices. Open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., you can buy Thai and international dishes including breakfast and some delicious deserts. Also serving alcohol, particularly wine, The Coffee Club is not far from the Anantara Resort.
This restaurant is a good restaurant that has a relaxed atmosphere. Serving great Thai food, especially seafood, the Cinnamon Restaurant and Lounge welcomes groups of friends as well as families. They are open from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. are aren’t far from the Splash Jungle Water Park.
There are plenty of great local beach restaurants in Mai Khao. Usually very Thai bamboo affairs, these restaurants serve fresh seafood dishes, excellent Thai food, and a selection of drinks. Prices range from the very affordable to the rather expensive, but you’re free to explore these beachfront eateries from about 10 a.m. until late into the night.
Swensens is just the place you need when you’re craving ice cream or a cool shake. They are open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and are located at Turtle Village. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, head here.
This high-season only restaurant is in its own secluded spot about half an hour of walking from the JW Marriott Phuket. They serve excellent Thai and seafood dishes and have great service at affordable prices. The Seaside Cottages and Restaurant is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and has proved to be enduring and popular.
The Siam Deli offers not only salads and sandwiches but also a variety of baked goods and deserts, including pastries. Perhaps best of all is their freshly baked bread, which made throughout the day and served up soon after it is ready. This deli is open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is located within the JW Marriott Resort.
The Bill Bentley Pub has true pub style. Paneled in wood and featuring classic music, its menu offers plenty of beers to choose from as well as pub food, Thai dishes, sandwiches, and burgers. The pub has TVs for watching sports and a pool table. They serve breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and they close at 11 p.m. The pub is located on the second floor of Turtle Village.
