3. Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave)

The Tiger Cave – properly Wat Tham Sua – is a great cave and temple complex where you can learn about Buddhism and appreciate Krabi’s natural beauty. The temple is located amidst impressive caves and you can climb the tall limestone tower for spectacular views of the area. Within one of the caves are interesting marks in the stone that appear to be the prints of a tiger.

4. Susaan Hoi (Shell Cemetery)

The Shell Cemetery is not far from Ao Nang and is one of the only such sites in the world. Millions of years old, these shells are preserved, along with rocks, in layers of the petrified remains of the swamp that once covered this area.

These islands require you to take a boat trip of around an hour, but it’s more than worth it and you get to enjoy the journey across the waters. Krabi Town remains a small and relaxed town in spite of the increase in visitors.
