7 Best Bars and Pubs in Silom Bangkok

Bars, pubs, and nightclubs are found all over Silom and its sois. Whether you are looking for a laid-back pub or an exciting bar with loud music, you will find it here.

V9

V9 is a sleek and modern bar that has impressive views of the city. Because it doesn’t get too crowded, V9 can give you your own space to enjoy the evening as you select from fine wines or order a great dish from the restaurant. It’s a nice place to have an easy-going drink as you wind down the night, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t music. V9 is located at the Sofitel Silom Hotel and is open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Hu’u

Hu’u is an upscale bar that serves some of the richest and most stylish groups in Bangkok. Here you are sure to feel stylish amid the sexy décor and selection of fine wines, liquors, and cocktails. There is an excellent lounge and a full restaurant serving dishes from around the globe. Hu’u is surprisingly less expensive than many similar bars, but you can still expect to pay a little more than less sophisticated bars. Select from hundreds of drinks from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. at The Ascott.

Cloud 47 Rooftop Bar

Rooftop bars are a huge trend that shows no sign of stopping. One of the newest of these bars in Bangkok is Cloud 47. Cloud 47 is more relaxed and more affordable than many of the expensive and particular rooftop bars you will find around the city. It isn’t far from the Patpong Night Market and is located in the United Center Building. It is open from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

Distil Cocktail Bar

Yet another rooftop bar in Bangkok is the Distil Cocktail Bar. As you might guess, they specialize in creating amazing and creative cocktails. Enjoy your drink at the bar (which also serves many types of drinks other than cocktails), smoke a cigar, or lounge on a comfortable sofa. There are DJs and everyone is expected to dress nicely (and be older than twenty). Distil is open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. and is located at the State Tower.

O’Reilly’s Irish Pub & Restaurant

If you are looking for a pub vibe, head to O’Reilly’s. Here you can get your favorite pub foods and, of course, beer. The band performs fun traditional Irish music at times and modern rock at others. There are large screen TVs to play your favorite sports matches. It can get especially exciting during football games. O’Reilly’s is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. You will find it on Silom Road near Soi Thaniya.

Met Bar

The Met Bar typically only allows guests of the Metropolitan and their guests in, but sometimes there are exceptions. It is a stylish venue of dark wood and deep colors, with ambient lighting and a comfortable but sophisticated vibe. There are sometimes special events that draw crowds but usually it isn’t too busy, so you can enjoy good service and privacy. The Met is especially notified for its cocktail. It is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Maggie Choo’s

Part of a unique group of bars designed by a famous designer, Maggie Choo’s is a hidden venue that is tucked away at the Novotel Fenix Silom Hotel. Once you walk through its small door, you will be ready to spend the evening in a fun environment with plenty of drinks available. Maggie Choo’s is open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
