3 Must See Attractions for Karon Beach Phuket

Karon Beach is mostly known for its beauty and relaxing atmosphere, but it does have its share of bars and shopping destinations. Also here are a few special attractions to keep visitors busy when they need a break from too much sun and sea.

Karon Market

Karon Market is an ideal local market in that it has a huge variety of products that will keep visitors busy wandering for hours. Whatever you need, chances are you can find it at the market. Located outside of Wat Karon, this market is a great place to pick up some souvenirs as well as an afternoon snack. It’s held on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Visit Karon Temple

Wat Suwan Khiri Khet (Wat Karon) temple is a calm spiritual center, even in the midst of town. There is a lot of interesting artwork at Karon Temple, especially the sculptures that include Buddha statues and a pair of snakes. Karon is a great place to stop and get a glimpse of local Buddhist culture with the added bonus of visually interesting art. It is open daily and is located right on Patak Road.

Mini Golf in Dino Park

This mini-golf course is a lot of fun for both kids and adults. Dino Park is an 18-hole course that features various statues of dinosaurs and makes for a great environment that includes a small volcano with timed eruptions. The Dino Park has its own restaurant and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It’s located about midway between Kata Beach and Karon Beach.
