Boonjumnong Apartment in Samui Thailand
In our last article, Where to Stay in Koh Samui Thailand – Part 1, we talked about the pros and cons of each major city in Samui.  Now that you have an idea of what area you would like to stay in, here are some recommendations of actual places to stay:

Short Term Stays (1 – 2 weeks):

If you are only going to be in Samui for a short time, stay at a hotel.  There is no shortage of hotels on the island ranging from one star to 5 stars.  Our recommended website for booking is:

Long Term Stays (2 weeks – 1 month or more):

If you are staying in Samui for longer than two weeks, you will be better off renting a monthly apartment then paying hotel rates every day.  I never stay in an apartment which is not up to western standards.  These recommendations features the everyday comforts we know and love.  If you are looking for hostel with a fan where you can sleep on the floor, it’s best you skip this.

Many apartments require long term leases or security large security deposits, these places do not:

This is a Swedish rental agency that will take care of you.  Although I’m not Swedish, I’ve used them for years.  They manage western style apartments, large villas, and even moped rentals all over Chaweng.  Every place they manage has a living room, kitchen, and high speed internet.  Prices start at 15,000 baht a month for a one bedroom apartment and no security deposit is required.  Save some money and let them know “Gods of Thailand” sent you.

Hailed as one of the only modern serviced apartments in Samui.  Each apartment is clean, well kept, western standards, and very nice.  Comes with cleaning two times a week, swimming pool, and a car port.  Prices start at 15,000 baht a month with a 5,000 baht security deposit.  They accept credit cards at no fee.  Downside, only offers one bedroom apartments and no kitchen is available.

If I’m in Samui during high season, I tend to stay at this place when the Swedish places are completely full.
