Q & A | Can I Party With You in Bangkok?

Hi,

I know this is a long shot but I’d kick myself for not trying. I’ll be going to Bangkok on the 17th of July for 2 weeks before I go back home to the Netherlands from Sydney.

Seeing as I’ll be in Bangkok by myself, I wanted to ask if you’re in Bangkok or Koh Samui around that time? It would be a dream to have guys like yourself to party with in Bangkok.

The reason your website appealed to me is because you’ve gotten to know Thailand much better than any other tourist or backpacker ever would. Combine that with the willingness to party like rockstars and you’re up for amazing nights out. During my 6 months in Sydney, I made sure I got to know plenty of locals and clubs and other hot spots to go to in the weekends. The idea of being a backpacker following other backpackers is very limiting and not taking full potential of the city you’re in.

If you’re willing to add another party friend for 2 weeks that would be a dream come true. I also liked your Facebook page in case you wanted to check me out on Facebook. And if there’s anything I can help with for your website, please don’t hesitate to ask.

I look forward to your reply,

Hey ******,

First off, I agree with you. Following hippies and backpackers is a big fucking waste of time. If you want to hang out with naïve idiots who conform to other naïve idiots, go back to high school.

But if you want to live life to the fullest and do whatever the fuck you want, take the KoT lifestyle path.

Now to Your Question:
We’re always more than happy to have someone join our group. However with it being summer time, there are quite a few of us who will be traveling outside of Thailand, including myself.

So for this trip, it looks like the timing just won’t work out.

On another note, I just finished an awesome 30 day stay in Bangkok. And I’ll tell you, if you do Bangkok right, it’s a hell of a lot of fun. I can never say this enough, don’t limit yourself to the basic backpacker places like Khao San Road.

If you want a recommendation for something a little different, Koh Samui is a good choice. I’ve called it home for over two years and make sure to stay a few months every year.

If you’re not sure where to go when you’re there, check out our Koh Samui Thailand Guide.

Enjoy paradise!

P..S. Send us a recap of your trip. We’d like to hear how it went.

I have been living in Chiangmai the past year (work for a oil company so every second month in Thailand) – and will be moving to Krabi in March 2014. Any chances of you being in Thailand over December and you wanna grab a few beers perhaps?

I am normally traveling solo – and company would make for a even greater experience.

    • I was thinking about doing a Phi Phi trip in December / January for a few nights. Karbi kind of bores me, but they do have a bar street that is entertaining enough for me spend a night there. Send me an email in December and let me know what’s going on:
